Victorian Half Crown Coin Ring
Minted in sterling silver between 1887 and 1892, this Victorian Jubilee Half Crown makes a stunning coin ring which retains all the beautiful intricacies of the coin from which it is crafted.
The outer band features a crown surrounded by a belt with the motto of the British chivalric Order of the Garter -MAL Y PENSE HONI SOIT QUI ( Evil be to him who thinks evil of it). Above the belt is the chain of Order of the Garter and the legend BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID: DEF (British Ruler Defender of the Faith). St. George on horseback, slaying the dragon is between the year of the coin.
The interior band reads VICTORIA DEI GRATIA meaning Queen by the grace of God. The Ring pictured is from 1887 but the year you recieve will be random unless requested otherwise.
