Easter Rising Coin Ring
The Easter Rising Coin
This Easter Rising Coin Ring is crafted from a silver commemorative coin issued in Ireland in 1966 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Easter Rising.
This unique coin ring features the inscription "Éirí Amach na Cásca 1916" on the edge, which translates as "1916 Easter Rising". By default the ring is made with "éire" (Irish for Ireland), and the year, 1966 on the outer band but it can also be made the other way round with "deic scilling" (ten shillings) and the raven on the outside.
All coin rings, by their nature are slightly thicker on one side than the other, this is especially noticeable with this coin ring as the coin it is made from has an unusual, concave shape.
