Pingin Coin Ring
The Celtic Coin Craft Pingin coin ring is handcrafted from a genuine Irish copper penny (know as Pingin in the Irish language).
Designed by Percy Metcalfe and minted from 1940 until 1968, the Pingin coin is quintessentially Irish and when turned into a ring, the wearer sports a patriotic and aristic item of custom-made jewellery. Adorned on one side with the hen, chicks and Pingin, the other side displays Éire, the year of minting, and the tips of our beautiful national emblem, the Irish Harp. You can choose to have the ring made with the Pingin side out or the year side out.
It is important to note that this coin is made from copper and as such can cause a (non-permanent) stain on your finger. Some people believe copper is beneficial in relieving the symptoms of arthritis and a range of other ailments.
