Pingin Coin Ring
The Celtic Coin Craft Pingin coin ring is handcrafted from a genuine Irish copper Penny (known as a Pingin in the Irish language).
Designed by Percy Metcalfe and minted from 1940 until 1968, the Pingin coin is quintessentially Irish and when turned into a ring, the wearer sports a patriotic and artistic item of custom-made jewellery. Adorned on one side with the recognisable Hen and Chicks, the other side proudly displays Éire, the year of minting, and the beautiful national emblem, the Irish Harp. You can choose to have your ring made with the Pingin side out or the year side out.
When the coin is crafted into a ring and polished, the Pingin coin ring is substantial to wear and the bronze metal shines beautifully, akin to the Irish bronze-age artefacts of yore. It is sure to be a great conversation piece, and with the Pingin ring, you’ll always have a little bit of authentic Irish history wrapped around your finger.
Please note, this coin is made from copper and as such can cause a (non-permanent) mark on your finger. Some people believe copper is beneficial in relieving the symptoms of arthritis and a range of other ailments.
