Q. I'm not sure of my ring size - what should I do?
There are a couple of ways to determine your ring size
1. Order one of our €2 ring sizers with free postage.
2. Go to a jewellery shop and ask them to measure your finger.
3. Try this downloadable ring size sheet.
If you receive your ring and it appears you have ordered the incorrect size, we are happy to offer a free Coin Ring Resizing service. This might be especially useful in the event you are buying the ring as a gift and therefore, might not know the exact ring size required. All we ask is that you pay the postage. However, please do try to choose the correct ring size in the first instance, as most rings cannot be resized more than 1 size up or down.
Q. I want a ring made from a coin from a specific country or year but I don't see it on your site?
Please contact us if you would like a ring made from a coin from a specific year or country, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Q. Where are you located and do you have a shop?
We are located in Co. Wexford, Ireland. We do not have a physical shop and operate exclusively online.
Q. Can I get a ring made from my own coin?
Yes, if the coin is suitable. Suitability depends on the size of the coin, the metal it is made of and its condition. Please contact us to discuss options.
Q. Why aren’t there more years available on Irish coins?
The ideal coins to turn into rings are made from silver or gold. Most Irish coins were minted in copper and nickel. Some people are sensitive to nickel which can result in skin irritation. The copper content can also cause a (non-permanent) mark on your finger. We don’t list any rings made from coins that contain nickel on our website but if you know you are not sensitive to nickel and want to have one made please contact us.
Q. How long will my order take?
In most cases, the order will be shipped within 5 to 10 working days of purchase. Custom or special orders may require sourcing a specific coin therefore may take longer. If you need the ring in a hurry please let us know and we will try to get it to you asap. Each ring is made to order, we do not carry a stock of completed rings.
Q. The ring I am interested in isn’t available in my size, what can you do?
Sometimes rings can be made in other sizes other than those listed. Please contact us for more information.
Q. How much is Postage?
Postage rates are as follows:
Within Ireland - €2.00
Rest of the World - €3.00
Postage includes any packaging required and your ring presented in a neat gift box. We also include a polishing cloth with silver rings. If you would like your ring shipped registered or express please contact us as an extra charge will apply.
Q. Can a coin ring mark my finger?
This depends on the metal composition of the coin the ring is made from and the pH of your skin. The higher the silver or gold percentage of the coin, the less chance the ring will mark your finger. If you are concerned about this it is best to order a ring made from a coin with a high silver content.
Rings made from bronze coins are likely to mark your finger because of their high copper content however, Bronze rings sold by Celtic Coin Craft are treated with a sealant to help prevent this. Depending on how often you wear the ring, the sealant will wear off. If the sealant wears off and you start to notice a stain on your finger, a trick is to apply clear nail polish to the inside of the ring.
Q. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payment with credit cards, debit cards and PayPal.
Q. Do the Coin Rings come with a guarantee?
Yes. By their nature, the Celtic Coin Craft Coin Rings are very durable however, the dark patina can wear off in time. In that event, We are happy to reapply this for free as long as your pay the postage cost. Please use the contact us page to organise this. Please provide your original Order Number in any correspondence.
Q. What is your return policy?
As a rule we don’t accept returns or issue refunds because each ring is individually custom made. If you are not happy with your purchase we will always try to address any issues that arise.
